Vodi supports independent pitch and timbre modification in the real sense as opposed to other software tools for voice modification: You can hold the pitch constant and modify the timbre and vice versa, or you can modify them independently in desired amounts. Changing the pitch results in a voice that sounds in a different tone as compared to the original. Duration modification enables varying the rate of the audio signal ( speeding up or slowing down ) without altering the spectral characteristics ( i. e. pitch and timbre ).

Modification of the vocal tract length results in the alteration of timbre and by shifting the formants one can transform, for example, a male voice into a female or a children' s voice.

Vodi supports simultaneous modification of these three characteristics as well as the addition of audio effects.

Vodi supports low-delay real-time operation ( around 200 ms. in full-processing mode ). Pre-recorded wav files can be used for off-line processing as well.

Vodi has an easy-to-use interface for recording wav files in the desired format and modifying them.
